1. Who we are
Verūm™ ("Verūm", "we") is a creative & digital studio in Constanța, Romania. For any question about your data you can write to us at office@vrm-e.ro or call us at +40 749 670 104. Verūm is the controller of the personal data collected through this site, within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").
This is an English translation of the Romanian policy. In case of any difference in interpretation, the Romanian version at vrmstudio.ro/legal prevails.
2. What data we collect and why
a) The contact form / project request
When you fill in the form ("Start a project"), we collect the data you give us: name, email address, the type of project you want, the estimated budget, the deadline and the details of the request. We use it to reply to you and to prepare a quote, that is, steps taken at your request before a contract is concluded (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Requests are stored securely on the Supabase platform (our database), which only the Verūm team can accesss, through authentication. We keep them for as long as we are discussing the project and for a maximum of 3 years from the last interaction, after which we delete them, or immediately, at your request.
b) Direct correspondence
If you email or call us, we process the data in that correspondence in order to reply (art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
c) Technical data (logs)
The site is hosted on Vercel. As with any site, the servers may automatically record minimal technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and proper operation (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: legitimate interest). We do not use this data to identify you.
3. Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your data. It may be processed, strictly for the operation of the site, by our providers: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (the database for requests), our email provider, plus the CDNs that deliver the site fonts and libraries (jsDelivr, Google Fonts, Fontsource) and the thum.io service (website previews in the portfolio): technically, these receive your IP address when the resources load. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; in those cases the transfer is made on the basis of the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
4. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right of access to your data, of rectification, de erasure ("the right to be forgotten"), of restriction of processing, of portability, de objection and the right not to be subject to an automated decision. We do not use automated decision-making and we do not carry out profiling.
For any request, write to us at office@vrm-e.ro: we reply within 30 days at the latest. If you are dissatisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the ANSPDCP (the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing): dataprotection.ro.
5. Cookies & local storage
The Verūm site does not use advertising cookies, does not carry out profiling and does not load social media scripts.
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people come in, which pages they read and where they come from. It sets analytics cookies and it only loads if you press "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you press "Decline", the Google script never reaches the page and no analytics cookie is set. We have explicitly disabled everything to do with advertising: ad storage, ad user data and personalisation. The IP address is anonymised. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, their privacy policy.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, just as easily as you gave it: . The page reloads and the banner appears again.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and the pages read. It is a cookie-freeservice: it sets no cookies, creates no identifier that follows you between visits and cannot reconstruct the path of any particular person. It collects only aggregate data: the page visited, the country, the device type and the referral source. Provider: Vercel Inc., their privacy policy.
We only use the browser local storage (localStorage) for two strictly functional things: remembering your choice in the cookie banner and, temporarily for the duration of the session, the login to the admin area (visible only to the team). These do not track you and do not leave your browser for marketing third parties.
You can clear local storage at any time from your browser settings (Clear browsing data / Cookies and site data). The external resources mentioned in point 3 may set their own technical cookies, according to their own policies.
6. Dispute resolution (ANPC & ODR)
If you are a consumer and we have a dispute that we do not settle amicably, you can turn to the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection: ANPC: SAL, or to the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
7. Changes
We may update this policy when the services used by the site change. The current version, with the date of the update, is always on this page.
