Web design

The design of a site is not decoration. It is the order in which a person understands what you sell, and how easily they reach the button that matters.

01

Design means decisions, not colours

Most people think website design is choosing colours and fonts. Those are the last decisions, and the easiest ones.

The hard decisions are elsewhere: what a person sees in the first second, what we leave out so as not to overload them, where we place the proof that we are worth trusting, and how far the contact button sits from the moment they were convinced.

That is why we start with structure, not pixels. When the order of the information is right, the visual design becomes far simpler.

What the design work covers

  • Information architecture: what pages exist and how they connect
  • Wireframes: the skeleton of every page, before any visual element
  • The visual interface: typography, colour, spacing, photography, rhythm
  • Mobile design: not a squeezed desktop, but a layout thought through on its own
  • States and details: a pressed button, a form filled in wrong, a page still loading
  • A design system: components documented, so the site stays coherent as it grows
03

Mobile is not a smaller version

Most of your visitors arrive on a phone. A design that looks good on a 27 inch monitor and collapses badly on a small screen loses exactly the audience that matters.

We design separately for mobile: a different rhythm, different text sizes, different priorities. Sometimes an entire section disappears on mobile because there it helps no one.

Design and code, in the same team

When the designer and the developer are different companies, something is lost at handover. Animations that "cannot be done" appear, spacing comes out slightly wrong, details get simplified along the way.

Here, the designer and the developer sit two desks apart. What you see in the design reaches the site without translation and without unannounced compromises.

Frequently asked questions

The price is built for each client. We do not sell fixed packages, because projects are not alike either: it depends on the number of pages, the functionality, and how much content has to be produced from scratch. After the first call you get a clear quote with everything it includes and no hidden costs.

Yes, always. You see every page, on desktop and on mobile, and you get one big round of feedback before development starts. We do not build anything you have not approved.

One big round of feedback per stage, where you gather everything you want changed. That is more effective than ten scattered small changes, and it keeps the project on schedule. Minor adjustments at the end do not count against it.

Yes. If you already have an identity that works, we build the site around it. If we think the logo is holding you back we will say so, but the decision stays yours.

Yes. Design and code happen in the same team, in-house. We do not subcontract.
